Educational Qualifications
- Syrang of Lascars: passed 10th pass, Syrang Certificate under Inland Vessels Act 1917/2021 or Merchant Shipping Act 1958, and 2 years of experience as Syrang-in-Charge of a vessel.
- Lascar: passed 10th pass with knowledge of swimming.
- Fireman (Boat Crew): 10th, Knowledge of swimming, and a pre-sea training course certificate.
- Topass: 10th pass with knowledge of swimming.
