Educational Qualifications
- A Degree/Diploma/ITI certificates in relevant fields such as Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, Civil, Chemical, Instrumentation, Computer Science), MBA, MCA, M.Sc (Chemistry), CA/ICMA, etc.
- Experience: post-qualification experience is required in relevant fields.
- Experience in integrated steel plants will be given preference.
- Specific skills like SAP, ERP, instrumentation maintenance, software development, and quality assurance are desirable for certain roles.
Age Limit
- Candidates’ age limit should be Minimum 18 years and Maximum 40 years.

Selection process
- The TNPSC CCSE Group IV selection process consists of the following stages which are detailed below
Written Exam
- Written Exam of 300 marks consisting of three parts:
- Part A: Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test (100 questions, 150 marks, SSLC Standard).
- Part B: General Studies (75 questions, 75 marks, SSLC Standard).
- Part C: Aptitude and Mental Ability (25 questions, 25 marks, SSLC Standard).
- Duration: 3:00 hours.
- Minimum qualifying Marks: 90 for reserved categories, 120 for others.
- Onscreen Certificate Verification, Physical Standard Test and Endurance Test, Physical Standard Test (verification of height and chest measurement), Endurance Test (25 Km walking for men and 16 Km walking for women/third gender, to be completed in 4 hours) which will be conducted at Chennai only and Physical Certificate Verification and Counselling is based on rank and reservation rules.
How to Apply
- One-Time Registration (OTR): Register yourself on the TNPSC portal, whose OTR is valid for 5 years.
- Log in using OTR credentials, select the desired posts, and fill out the online form.
- Upload scanned copies of documents, SSLC/HSC/Degree mark sheets, community certificate and other required documents as per Annexure II and V.
- Pay the applicable fee online through debit/credit card, net banking or other available methods to edit details if required.
- Submit and save all details for future reference.
